Question:

Travelling with a guinea pig?

I've read somewhat into carrying guinea pigs on air planes and how it's the worst idea. However, this was true if they're being put in with the luggage. The overseas airline that I'm flying allows you to take the pet with you in the cabin. If this were the case is it still a bad idea?

  1. No, that should be fine, if you take the correct precautions. Make sure your piggie has unlimited hay, and a towel lining the bottom of the carrier, as well as to hide in. You can take the pig's empty water bottle, then buy one once you get through and fill it up.

Here's a good thread that will tell you what to do: http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/abou...

  2. I think it should be fine - if you can hold it, assure it that its okay, then it won't get too stressed and should be fine.
