Travelocity?

Question

I live in Perth WA and have just used the Travelocity website to look for flights, hotels etc... I now want to book my trip, but just had an awful feeling that I might not be able to use that website because I don’t live in USA or UK! Does it make a difference? And can I go ahead and book?

There's no Travelocity in Australia.  

Might be safer to book on-line directly with the airline and hotels of your choice, rather than going through a travel company.

Try bestflights.com.au (a perth company) - I travel a fair bit and they are very good, a great site and great call centre.

I think if Travelocity is in Australia you are OK.All tickets purchased for Overseas from Australia must be bought in Australia I am lead to believe.

So if it is com.au I think you should be OK

If not I would try the airlines online and look for specials.It all depends on when and where you are flying,you may get lucky.

I would use travelocity to book my stays or you could try www.expedia.com,which I used in the states and found it was great.

In the USA I booked a few nights when I got there and used Expedia for all my bookings as they have last minute deals and motels were cheap and much better than here in Oz for the same amount.

You don't need travel agents to book anymore.

As for flights,I myself would stick direct to the airlines in Australia.

dont risk it.

yes, it is american and knowing airlines, they may want to find any little loophole possible if they want to bump you to another flight.

if you MUST book from a cheapie site, go to eith Zuji or Webjet as they are Australian.

But ou would find that your only saving a few $$$ and i would rather pay the few extra $ and have peace of mind.

Infact...I would stay off Webjet. I dont know if this is true but someone told me that they charge a $20 ONLINE booking fee (like i said, not confirmed)!

Theres no such thing as an aussie travelocity. Not that I knnow of. You need to book flights from australia not through an american sight. And you really dont wantto  as american pays more flight taxes. So go through someone like flightcentre ect. Also I go to the states often and always love saving money. I go and book my flight throughan actual person at a travel agent. What I do to get a great price is go to 2, one being flighht centre and the other sta travel (both get good prices coz they buy in bulk). What you do is get a quote from both and go back and forth to get the best price. I had an agent who gave me $100 in my pocket if I went with him. They do this coz it's a fairly prices trip and they want your business.
