I had a crappy exceed i'm upgrading cuz it broke fast. It sais its in a package so do u really need the things it sais u need to complete on the thing at greathobbies.com?

  1. For $300 I would not recommend getting a Nitro Rustler, it is still a beginner RC.  Instead you should get a RC10GT2 or a Nitro Evader.  The Nitro Rustler won't be much stronger than your last one, I would know because I had one and the chassis is just a thin flat piece of aluminum.  Although one good thing about the Rustler is that it has a powerful engine to start with. Yes you will need the battery and charger (you don't have to buy it from that site, it seems rather expensive, try towerhobbies.com) because the Rustler has an Easy-Start system which I hated and replaced because I had to rely on a battery to start the engine and the extra weight of the system.  Better off with a pull start system, yes you have to pull it but it should take 1-3 pulls to start the engine.
