Treadmill to ground transition?

i'm not the best runner on the treadmill but i've worked up to being able to knock out 5 miles in an hour without stopping. on the ground i can do diddly squat. how can i train myself to be able to run on the ground with greater ease without losing my workout?

  1. if you want to transition then stop running on the treadmill and go outside. run around the park. see if you have a local track somewhere in your commmunity. see what you can do on the ground and set goals/make a workout for yourself there. make sure you strech 3-5 min before and after your workout so that you dont get sore, and drink some water so you dont get cramps. good luck and i hope this helps
