Treasured Up aiming to emerge successful from the Grade 3, $150,000 Arlington Oaks
Eight runners will be trying their luck in the Grade 3, $150,000 Arlington Oaks, which will take place after a hiatus of a year.

Hosted at Arlington Park and, taking place over a distance of 1 1/8 miles on 21st July, 2012, it looks like Treasured Up, will be one of the most threatening runners in this race and will be aiming to take the money home.
Trained by Albert M. Stall Jr, the daughter of Medaglia d'Oro, out of mare Melisma, has claimed two victories and finished twice in third place in her last five starts, which goes to shows that she has been regularly turning in good runs.
Ridden by jockey Garrett Gomez, the sophomore landed a victory in an Allowance Race at Keeneland on 14th April, 2012, over the distance of 1 1/16 miles which she completed efficiently in 1 minute and 43.75 seconds, and defeated
the Kenneth McPeek trained, Putthebabiesdown, while the third place was secured by Todd Pletcher’s charge, Dancing Solo.
Owned by the B. Wayne Hughes of Spendthrift Farm LLC, the runner delivered a solid performance in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs on 16th June, 2012, where he finished third under the command of jockey, Rosie Napravnik.
In this event, she will be mounted by rider Miguel Mena, and will break from post position 6 with weight of 118 pounds.
La Tia, daughter of City Place, out of mare La Adelita, is entering as a top-weight with 124 pounds and, chances are that she give Treasured Up a serious run for her money, especially considering she is exiting two back-to-back victories.
Trained by Brian Williamson for Salvador Hernandez for Hernandez Racing Club, the filly prevailed in the Purple Violet Stakes over 1 mile.

Covering the distance in 1 minute and 38.24 seconds, Lia Tia defeated, Dolly Peach by a tremendous margin of 8 ¼ lengths, while the third place was secured by, Wonder Country.
The three-year-old filly is in immensely good shape and will definitely try to notch this one. With two consecutive victories, she is on a hat-trick and chances are that she will get it.
Other runners competing include the Mark E. Casse trained Sky Dreamer and Treasured Up’s stable-mate, Ire.
