  1. WILLPOWER and INSPIRATION. Look to yourself for one, and outside for the other.

  2. Some bipolar medications will do this. Tell your doctor that this is happening.

  3. GIRL, I WISH I HAD AN ANSWER FOR YOU! SAME THING WITH ME,USED TO BE SO HAPPY AND FULL OF LIFE AND ENERGY AND CREATIVITY,BUT NOW THAT IM MEDICATED,I FEEL SO DEAD INSIDE,SO NORMAL,SO PLAIN.  I MISS WHO I USED TO BE, BUT KNOW THAT TO LEAD A "NORMAL"LIFE, THAT I HAVE TO ACCEPT IT. BEST WISHES.

  4. You might not like this answer.  But could you scale back on the bipolar medication a bit?  Or is it possible to take a different medication.  I know it's tough because I'm on bipolar medication.  I know that some artists have chosen to do this for the same reason you describe. How do you 'get' creative?  I'm not sure it's possible to consciously do this.  There are some books on creativity and bipolar also the books by Cameron(?)  Maybe hanging around other creative people would help.  Art studios, art exhibits, a change of scenery (vacation).  What inspires you?  Nature, music?  Maybe if you take up a new medium, it might challenge you or make you look at things a different way?  Pottery? Sculpture? Photography?
