Question:

Treatment for Rabbit Conjunctivitis?

I know the best solution is to take him to the vet, but I want to do something for him today, at home, that might relieve the itching and anything else that he might be going through. Is there anything that I may do?

Also, does it help to gently wipe the discharge from his eyes or should I leave it alone? His condition is not so bad, but certainly not negligible. And when I do wipe his eyes, what should I use? Does a tissue suffice? Or should I use baby wipes... I'm a total idiot when it comes to this stuff.

I'd like to take him to the vet today, but it's not an option, and I can't watch him scratching his eyes. Is there anything I can do at home?

  1. It needs antibiotic eye drops...Until then just harvest the crust from the eye.
