  1. You have to check with your doctor- not every doctor does monitoring by ultrasound. Also, it can vary from month to month, sometimes they saw me on CD 14 and sometimes CD16, and it seems I always had to go back at least one other time per month based on what they saw. I know it's difficult, but it's just not that easy to pin down. I was lucky in that my doctor has very early hours, so most of the time I was able to go before work and not miss any time.

    Good luck

  2. Normally with Clomid they just give you the prescription and the schedule and send you on your way. If you're starting on 50mg from CD5-9 that's the usual timetable. Later on they might change the dose and/or move you up to the CD3-7 or the CD1-5 schedule. However, sometimes the first month they chosoe to do what's called a 'Clomid Challenge Test', where they take your blood on CD3 and then again on CD10, and compare the levels before and after the Clomid. That's the only 'time off from work' scenario that I can think of directly related to medical procedures.

However, be sure to watch for side effects. Some people I know have no trouble, feel fine, go to work, no difference. Others get nasty headaches, and others still are totally incapacitated for 5 days. Luckily, the side effects wear off immediately on the 6th day once you stop.
