Treatments for ADHD?

My niece is ADHD (4 yrs old), every medicine her dr gives her for it doesn't work (she's allergic to it), her doctor doesn't want to see her anymore because he can't treat it. What are some ways to treat this condition without medicine? or any over the counter medicines that might work?

have they put her on adderall? That seems to work for my son although they have to adjust the milligrams every 6-8 months
