Treatments from biting inside my mouth?

i have braces, and recently when i was eating, i bite myself really hard and it started bleeding, and there's a hole where i bite myself. and i can't even talk or eat or even smile without touching that hole and hurting myself even more!:( what should i do? and is there's a medicine or something i can do?

  1. You need to get some wax to put over your braces where they are rubbing your mouth.  Make sure it is edible.  There is dental wax.  You nay be able to find some at Wal-mart or the drug store. Your mouth heels pretty fast once the irritation is gone.  Oral gel may numb it for a while, but it will burn at first.

Absolutely.  When I had braces I had this problem all the time.  Go down to your local drugstore and get some "Zilactin."  It's a gel in a small tube that you apply right over the problem area.  It acts as a temporary barrier and bandage so that you can eat, smile, talk, etc. without pain.  It also keeps the area from getting opened up again so it has a chance to heal.
