  1. No. A treehugger is someone who cares a lot about the environment; and TREES are a big part of saving the environment because they eat up all the CO2 and put O2 back into the air. They also provide numerous different homes and habitats for animals. So no, it's not stupid, trees are essential to everybody, and it's great to want to take care of the environment.

  2. Treehuggers, do you wipe your butt with plastic?

  3. Somewhat. People always get so stupidly obbsesive over it. Their trees. A rain forest of trees gone isn't going to cause the world to end. But if they cut down all of the trees, well than I can understand where the tree huggers are coming from. But other than that, they need to get over it. If they don't, they will start riots for no reason. We can still live with a couple of rain forests. It's a big world. Besides, with bees, birds, and other insects like that, it makes more trees.

  4. Old word for hippie not stupid just a lil derogatory.

  5. no I don't feel it is stupid,in most cases it is used to embarrass someone when they are called this name.If we all had a little bit of treehuggerness in us this world would be a better place.I for one get called this buy people who think I nutty for recycling everything, refusing to water my lawn to keep it green during a drought, drying my clothes on a line outside,Some call me it under their breath like a curse and others openly like go see the tree hugger about what you can recycle.

  6. I personally do not see it as something stupid par say. It has become more or less an insult to those who stand up for the Environment saying that  they are stupid enough think "hugging" a tree will save it. This is from back when PETA, GreenPeace, etc. were pulling these particular stunts. Now though the meaning is starting to change and people are less insulted.

I go to Nature Camp, which is an academic camp where I take classes in Dendrology, Mycology, Ornithology, Ecology, Conservation, and other -ology ones. We try to understand our impact on the environment and that does not necessarily make us tree huggers. Simply people well informed on the different aspects of the forests, waters, and resources of the world

  7. there are extremes in every region of life.

its really really tough to be totally green.

i think that the world is already ******.

but at least, treehuggers know that they themselves are trying to help the situation.

  8. Here in Oregon and California the tree`s are on fire. You can bet the tree hugger are not hugging tree`s today. They are off hiding somewhere. When the tree huggers come back after the forest fires, they become dead tree snag huggers.

  9. Treehuggers are people that have a misguided purpose in life. The world was here before you and it'll be here when you're gone. Find something better to worship than a tree, rock, frog, etc. Try seeking the Creator rather than the created.
