I love trees and a couple of days ago I removed all of the dead branches off of the tree in which I think it is an evergreen tree, I broke off a lot of dead branches and things, the tree is green even in the coldest weather, the leaves of the tree kind of look like this

since then I have been watering the whole tree and I have noticed it is growing it is already tall and their is a power line right above the tree, anyway I wanna if new branches will grow on the tree along with new leaves, one day I filled a bucket with warm water and I went on poured the water on the bottom of the trees where it comes out the ground.

  1. I think your tree is some kind of yew (wiser heads may disagree), and as they age, the lower branches die.  They won't grow back, but that isn't your fault.  The water is good for it, but nothing will make the dead branches re-grow.

  2. the tree is devinetly an evergreen. the bottom branches fall off on every tree because of the lack of sunlight and it's natural so don't worry

  3. I don't have any evergreens around my house like my grandparents did in their lifetime.  I have other trees and plants out in the yard.  I can see no harm in how you are caring for your tree.  I do bacically the same thing you do for your tree except pour hot water on the ground.  Nature takes care of trees as well as evergreens.  Regular trees leaves turn brown ocasionally because of insects and the change in the weather conditions.  The brown leaves will eventually fall off the tree, but will grow new ones.  Same with the evergreen trees.
