    The ability of species to adapt to climate change will depend largely on their ability to "track" shifting climate by dispersing colonists.

    This is really a guess on my part.  However, I know that you can rule out  #4 because being sessile doesn't prevent seed dispersal.  Also, # 3 isn't likely because having well-provisioned seeds doesn't make the seeds move north.  So that, at least, narrows the correct answer down to #2 or #3.
