Aussie emerging fast bowler, Trent Copeland, has claimed that the recently concluded 3-match Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 helped him to improve his bowling.
"I haven't come back from Sri Lanka with any mystery balls, but I picked up a few things on manipulating my length to make it very hard for the batsmen to score." He said while talking to the media.
Recently, the New South Wales-born, Copeland, visited Sri Lanka with the national side, where he impressed everyone with his smart and intelligent bowling.
The 25-year-old pacer took 6 wickets for 227 runs in 108 overs with an economy of 2.10, playing 3 matches.
Though, his stats were not outstanding however, considering his bowling variety, experts are rating him as Australia’s future prospect.
Meanwhile, the impressive pacer is expected to be picked in the Aussies Test squad for the forthcoming 2-match Test series against South Africa.
Copeland showed confidence over his abilities to perform against the South African side, and cited that he is ready to face the challenge.
“South Africa generally has good conditions for fast bowlers - but only if you're bowling well,'' he said. ''It can be a bit of a graveyard if you're not on the spot. There's fast outfields and good, fast wickets, so you've got
to be on your game” he told APF.
Furthermore, he asserted that he would play against South Africa with basics, and will try to adjust himself in the South African conditions.
“But it's the same principle. I think what I did in Sri Lanka should stay my game plan. I don't think I should change things too much even though the conditions will be different.'' Copeland added.
Copeland is one of the best emerging Australian fast bowlers and has been performing outstandingly in the country’s domestic cricket, which compelled the selectors to consider him for the national side.
He has participated in 21 First-Class matches, taking 99 wickets with an economy of 2.42; whereas he played 8 List ‘A’ fixtures, picking 6 wickets.
