Treo Touhscreen?

Question

The touchscreen on my Treo 600 is not working. Can I just buy a new touhscreen, or do I need a new LCD screen? What is the difference between a replacement LCD screen and a replacement touchscreen, or are they the same thing??

you can buy a replacement touchscreen, they are different. you remove the screen and seperate the touchscreen part witha razorblade. should be cheap.

The LCD in your Treo is a touchscreen LCD. Touchscreen LCD's differ from non-touchscreen LCD's in that the former has an additional layer that responds to presses applied to the surface of the screen, called digitizer.

Digitizers are very rarely offered solely--without the entire display, so you may have to get a complete replacement LCD.

It's pretty hard to tell whether a replacement LCD will show different display characteristics in this case, since there are a plethora of replacement LCD's offered by so many manufacturers.

you can try to reset the phone to see if that will help. the only bad thing about that is that it erases everythin on ur phone. if u have a sprint phone, they can replace it in the store if you have the in store warranty. i hope this helps.
