Trevi You Go, 7 to 2 betting favourite, bags top position in ‘THE GALA CORAL STANDARD’ at Romford on Jan 13
 
The son of Goldmine Ramble out of No Joke Sherry, Trevi You Go, sealed first position in ‘THE GALA CORAL STANDARD’, that took place at Romford on Friday, January 13, 2012.
The first prize of the 400 metre Open Race (Grade OR) was £175.
In the opening phase, it was a close contest between the hounds. However, P Simmonds’ trainee gradually took a decent lead, and sustained his advantage till the winning post.
After being sent off with the odds of 7 to 2, the winner crossed the wire in 24.18 seconds. It was a comprehensive victory for Trevi You Go, as the runner-up was 0.60 seconds behind him.
Slick Citi, who was rated as the favourite ahead of the race, finished second in the list. The son of Honcho Classic out of Cooly Pantera was enjoying the winning probability of 7 to 4, as he began the action from the fourth stall.

Failing to take an early lead, the black hound, trained by K R Allsop, reached the post in 24.78 seconds.
The third position was locked by Oscars Blurr, the son of Montos Carhumore out of Umeras Pride.

He was given a hard competition by Mohane Rebel, but J W Reynolds’ hound eventually sealed the slot by a head distance. His starting price was 5 to 1, and he clocked the area in 24.94 seconds.
Just 0.02 seconds behind Oscars Blurr, Mohane Rebel finished fourth on the table.

The son of Premier Fantasy out of Gorgeous Ruby was given odds of 7 to 1. He was lucky to gain the fourth position, as he defeated Liscahane Luke by a head’s margin.
The fifth position hound, the son of Westmead Hawk-Blackeyed Lulu, concluded the race in 24.97 seconds. His starting price was 7 to 2, as he set off the sprint from trap number one.
Fabulous Agenda, the only female hound in the race, completed the order of finish. Her odds were 5 to 1, breaking from the second stall.

The daughter of Droopys Marco out of Schofield Damsel was well behind the rest of the hounds, clocking the distance in 25.17 seconds.
It was Friday evening at Romford, and the stadium was jam packed with the lovers of greyhound racing. The participants did not disappoint their fans, and displayed an excellent show on the track. It was Trevi You Go’s first win after a long gap of
more than three months.
