Speaking to the media reporters after KKR lifted their maiden IPL trophy in Chennai last night, Bayliss said that it was a great team effort and the boys proved that they can do well even if Gambhir fails.
"We played a team game throughout. The partnership between Bisla and Kallis was the winning one,” said Bayliss at the post-match presentation ceremony on Sunday night.
“People said we could not do it without Gautam scoring runs, but we proved we could tonight,” he added further.
