Trevor Fisher Junior wants to end his season with a bang: Alfred Dunhill Championship
Trevor Fisher Junior has had one of the best golfing seasons of his career this year. Even if he does not appear for the Alfred Dunhill Championship, he will still have plenty to cherish.
The golf professional, Fisher plays on the Sunshine Tour and has registered three victories to his name. An addition, he has finished five times in the top-ten this year.
The results show that Fisher has played a very consistent game of golf throughout the season.
As the Alfred Dunhill Championship is just around the corner, the 33-year-old Fisher wants to grab some remarkable results in the tournament.
The Alfred Dunhill Championship, which is to be held on the Leopard Creek Country Club, is one of the richest tournaments on the tour.
The course is one of its kinds. It connects the players and the fans with nature, as it is surrounded by the natural habitats of wild animals.
The golf professional is currently fifth on the Order of Merit. Branden Grace is one place behind, in the fourth position.
While commenting on his game plan, Fisher said, “I’ve looked at the numbers, and I know what I have to do”.
He continued, “Branden’s going to be tough to catch, I’ll obviously have to come top two or top three here, but nobody knows what golf gives you if you stay patient”.
For the 33-year-old to come out on top, he has to conquer the fairways of the Leopard Creek Country Club and a finish worse than second place for Grace will put Fisher on top.
Fisher, while reflecting on his successful year said that, for a golfer to achieve a certain level of play, he has to have control over his mind.
Fisher added that every golfer on the tour knows how to hit the ball, the minutest of differences separates the winners from the losers and one step is grasp it mentally.
Fisher’s previous best in the tournament was back in 2007 when he came in the 14th position. This time around, Fisher will be facing a tough competition, as the Alfred Dunhill Championship attracts the best in the business.
