  1. NZ without a doubt.

  2. ABS should win...just.

  3. It should be a cracker between NZ and SA, but I feel the depth that SA has is what will get them the wins. This depth with the fact they play the rest at home, ya for those out there who dont know, NZ had a 30 match unbeaten run at home - amazing feat - but SA hasnt lost to AUS in 8 matches (last at home in 2000). So They do need to beat NZ once at home (at Newlands) then they get AUS twice. I favor the Boks this year.

And an FYI, SA dropped Steyn for several reasons, in my opinion the main is he is insistent on playing Fly Half. And while he has the potential to be the greatest fly half SA has ever had, he is to young in the position, let him play center or full back for a few years and let him grow into the game. You need to have a few years behind you to really perform at this position.

  4. NZ All Blacks, I may live in the US (sadly) but NZ is always the best!  They've been really strong this year so I think they'll do great.

  5. The ABs.....(with hand on heart) why? im far too selfish to see any other team as winners <------- that and Im madly in denial.....

  6. I think all the teams are looking good at the moment...the TriNations will be close...I'd love to see the ABs win but I think it can go to any of the teams.....the Boks will be hard to beat at home, so you've got to favour them....but I do think when NZ get their stuff together they dominate both the Wallabies and the Boks

  7. In my heart of hearts - I will always without a doubt say the All Blacks will win the Tri-Nations.  I do still believe it this year and ultimately feel that the ABs have had a much more unfortunate year with the amount of injuries all over the pitch, so squads have been a less than ideal for the most part.  However despite a slim loss to the 'Boks in Dunedin and an appalling loss to the 'Bies in Sydney I think last weekends win in Auckland was some of the best rugby I've seen the team collectively play for a near full 80 minutes in years.

As long as they can keep it up I believe they will always be the better team.

(Of course personally I'm biased - and also I love that this year it's realistically anybody's title - I'm only hoping we retain the Bledisloe Cup this year, that's the more important one in my household, lol)

  8. NZ i think.

  9. As mentioned alot everywhere, the SA's are in the box seat as they got their home games.. but based on the performance by the ABs last week, I'm backing them to clinch the title..

    GO ABs!!

  10. The history of the tri-nations championship paints a pretty clear picture of Kiwi domanance. Aus has won two championships, RSA have won 2 championships. NZ have won . . . 8 championships.

The IRB international rankings are also up for grabs, so the battle between RSA and NZ  to nail down the the number one spot is full on, especially when the Aussies are in the mix and keep ripping games and much needed points off the two top spots.

  11. The All Blacks, they seem to have direction when Ritchie is playing.

  12. Ah its about time we have seen the true passion come out from the all blacks its been a while  being an ex pat its good to see the true passion .. The Wallabies will only get stronger a good team for the future look out

  13. NZ

  14. I would have said South Africa, but the All Blacks look a lot better now that McCaw is back leading the team. I think New Zealand will win it.

  15. It is a toss up between ABs or Boks.

If Abs play test rugby not "toss it around" super 14 they are the best in the world. If the boks stop trying to put so much **** in and concentrated on playing rugby they would be number 2. But it is a real close call. Give Deans a couple of years with the aussies and they will be a real force to reckon with. They need a decent front row and their depth in the loose is a bit of a worry.

  16. All blacks

  17. All Blacks. They have a lot of talent on their team and you can see their ambition to win. Dan Carter has been doing amazing in the past few games and is contributing a lot of points. Also, with McCaw they are on the road to victory!!!

  18. If the Springbok selectors picked the best available team they would be very difficult to beat, especially at home.  Unfortunately the best tighthead in the country is not even in the squad (BJ Botha), and the best option for loosehead (CJ Van der Linde) is being played at tighthead.  On top of that the coach drops arguably the most exciting prospect in world rugby, Frans Steyn, from the squad altogether, and plays mediocre players instead (Adi Jacobs).  As a result the Boks are struggling in the scrums, and lacking that special spark in the backs.

That said, both of the other unions are going through a rebuilding phase and both have long trips to SA so my money is on the boks winning it this year, although there won't be many points separating the top of the log from the bottom.

  19. Would love to see the Wallabies win but I don't think it will be this year. They still have to fix a few things in the forwards, firstly someone to throw the ball into the lineout. Couple of changes needed in the backs, should occur next year.

ABs should win. Great pack, ruck and maul well, super smart stand off and goalkicker extraordinaire. Should have too much class, experience and skill for Wallabies and Boks.
