But the consistency of the medicine is like vaseline or a gel, I am starting to think that maybe I got a medicine that was labeled incorrectly. If anyone has used this ointment and knows whether it is supposed to be liquid, or gel please get back to me. Thankyou.

  1. It is a very thick liquid.  When you go to put the drops in you will see that it comes out in drops.  It's a little hard to squeeze the bottle because it's a heavier plastic but the drops come out one at a time.

  2. Hi Monica.

If I remember, this is a very thick liquid, almost a paste, so you would use the equivelent of 4 drops.  If you got it from your Vet, just give them a call when they open.

This ointment should not be used without verifing that the ear drum is intact.

    Best of luck.

  3. It is a sauve to keep the little guys from being irratated and him scraching his ears all the time.
