I just got these on both sides of my teeth and they are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I asked my orthodontist how long im supposed to wear them not a good enough answer though. How many times am i supposed to change them? Do they break easily? I can barely talk and id like to know how long am i supposed to have em on.

  1. I just got triangular elastics yesterday and usually change them once or twice a day. You should probably change them whenever you feel like there isn't as much pressure on you teeth as there usually is.
I agree, they are VERY uncomfortable. No matter how uncomfortable they are, though, make sure you wear them! If you don't you may have to have braces even longer. :(
Before I had these types, I had ones that went from my back molars to my canines. Those were thinner than the triangular ones and would break easily. SInce these are fatter, they don't break as easily. Usually you'll only have to wear them until you go back to the orthodontist.
