I was wondering if tricare covers invitro-fertilization? My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and have been for quite some time now, and have thought about invitro as an option. So if they dont cover that do you know of anything that can help, that tricare will cover?? thanks in advance!

  1. The link provided in the other answer really answers your question.  There are some Military treatment facilities that can help you with it, provided you pay a copay (you'd have to contact them to find out how much it is).  Another option might be to find an insurance provider who does cover it and obtain secondary insurance.  Once your pregnancy is confirmed, I believe TRICARE would then cover you for the pregnancy itself.  Aside from birth control and surgical operations to prevent future pregnancies, TRICARE pretty much stays out of the reproductive market.

Good luck to you and your husband!  I hope you find something that works.
