Tricky Grip question?

I recently bought a racket off eBay with a 4 5/8 grip ripped that off and put on two over grips and its perfect i was wondering if I took

my 4 3/8 grip and did the same would it be the same size

Yes, most overgrips are 1/8 thick

i think overgrips are only 1/16 inches thick. it won't do you any good if you wrap overgrips over the racquet handle. overgrips are supposedly wrapped over the base grip. it will fill the gap of size, say between 4 3/8 and 4 1/2 (i.e., one layer of overgrip over 4 3/8 base-gripped handle, will result in 4 7/16 inches grip size).

but if you find that two layer of overgrips suits you better then go for it.
