  1. a = amount of change

    3000 = (100 + a * 20) * (25 - a * 2)

    3000 = 2500 - 200a + 500a -40a^2 | -3000

    0 = -40a^2 + 300a - 500 | : (-40)

    0 = a^2 -7,5a + 12,5

    a1/2 = - (-7,5)/2 +- sqrt( ((-7,5)/2)^2 -12,5)

    a1/2 = 3,75 +- 1,25

    a1 = 3,75 + 1,25 = 5

    a2 = 3,75 - 1,25 = 2,5

    => decreasing the price for calculator by 5*2 = 10 $ or 2,5 * 2 = 5 $ will produce a revenue of 3000 $
