I use a component cable and all plugs are in order and the HDTV switch is 'on' on the cable, but now the TV screen is black and I cannot go back to reset the resolution because I cant see what where I'm in the menu. The black screen was supposed to go away in 10 sec and revert to lower resolution but it did not. Anyone can help please?

Thanx.

  1. Ok so your tv probably does not support that resolution for whatever reason. Turn the xbox off and then turn it on using the guide button, then when its starting up press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time.

  2. First turn the xbox off. Then switch it to regular t.v. on the a.v. cable. Turn it back on and go to the xbox menu and go in and change the HD setting to 1080p. Once you've done that turn it back off and switch it the av cable back to HD....it should work now.

    Hope this helped
