Trigger safety on a rifle?

would it be possible to install a trigger safety like those used on glocks onto my long range rifle? if i did this would it affect my accuracy in a good or bad way?

  1. Glocks, use special holsters, that prevent the possibility of snagging the trigger.  On a rifle, you would need a scabbard, which would cover the trigger.  

         I really don't think it is a good idea.   Just my opinion.


  2. There is no after market trigger that I know of that does this your only option would be to find a gunsmith who would override the perfectly operating safety system that was installed at the factory in favor of a system that adds nothing to the gun other than a level of unnecessary danger

    Why not just  discard the safety all together you get the same effect for a fraction of the cost

  3. Depends upon the rifle.

    I think you'd have to look for aftermarket parts.

    Most shooters who install aftermarket trigger systems are attempting to improve their ability to shoot tight shot-groups.  It's preferable to be able to adjust the trigger for weight-of-pull, length-of-pull and length-of-overtravel (how far a trigger can continue to move after the sear has been released).

    Do you have a competent gunsmith in your area to perform the work and discuss the details with?
