  1. Hi, how are you today? I am familiar with Trileptal because I had a patient I once cared for who took it. How many mg are you on? Have you been experiencing frequent or less seizures since you've been on Trileptal? If you are experiencing pain, I highly suggest you go see your doctor. The side effects I know of Trileptal include

    Headaches

    Dizziness

    Nausea

    Fatigue

    Drowsiness

    Vomiting

    Vision problems

Trileptal does have a long term side effect and can reduce the sodium in your body to dangerously low levels, which can cause a life-threatening electrolyte imbalance. Contact your doctor right away if you have nausea with vomiting, weakness, headache, confusion, mood changes, and/or increased or more severe seizures. In my opinion, I don't think Trileptal is good because it really increases your mood swings. A patient of mine started experiencing numbness in both her arms and sometimes tingling in her fingers. I think you should speak to your doctor about this before these side effects take a toll on you physically and mentally. I don't suggest this pill because after a few months, when your body fully absorbs it...You can start experiencing mild lockups and losing your train of thought, and it can become very over powering. I don't mean to scare you, just want you to be aware of these things. So please, make an appointment with your doctor and talk to him about this. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Hope you feel better and best of luck. God bless.

EDIT: If you want to be taken off the meds, your doctor can wean you off slowly because you can't stop taking the medication one shot. I think you should start seeing a spiritual therapist/doctor. Medication is not the answer, it does make you worse. You should speak to your doctor about this ASAP.  I will pray for you. I am sorry to hear about all the trauma that you have been through. God is there with you always, have faith in him put HIM first and everything will fall into place.

  2. Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) causes dizziness, drowsiness, blurred or double vision, fatigue and may cause headaches, nausea, and vomiting.

Sertraline hydrochloride (Zoloft) may cause the symptoms of Serotonin Syndrome, a rare but life-threatening reaction, such as fever, sweating, muscle stiffness, trouble thinking clearly, a change in mental functioning, sleepiness, or change in your breathing, heartbeat and blood pressure.

Duloxetine (Cymbalta) is also a medication for "Peripheral Neuropathic Pain" and the stopping of its use could be the cause of your problems.

Nonetheless, concomitant use of all three medications given to you by your treating doctor could be an overkill.

All three are basically for the same problems in treatment of depression, Bipolar disorder and epilepsy.
