  1. You can go to your veterinarian, and they clip your dog or cats nails for you.

  2. How to trim a cats claws with pictures.

  3. OH I'M USED TO THE SCRATCHING AND BITES!                                                                                                                                                                                              1.RELAX YOUR CAT AND PUT IT ON YOUR LAP LYING DOWN ON ITS BACK!

2.TAKE A NAIL CLIPPER AND GENTLY TRIM THE CLEAR WHITE PART OF THE NAILS  ONLY! DO NOT TRIM TO THE PINK PART OF THE NAIL BECAUSE THIS WILL CAUSE THE NAILS TO BLEED!

  4. I would recommend having someone who trims cat nails on a regular basis teach you how to do it. Some cats are difficult to trim. The 1st step with a young cat is to get it used to you handling the feet. Just pick one foot up at a time and extend out the nails (without trimming them). When she gets used to that it will be easier. Sometimes cats are very opposed to nail trims and then it may take 2 people to do it. You could always go to the vet and they can trim the nails and teach you how to do it.

  5. only cut were its white our kind of clear don't get to close to were its red.It may move around a little but before you clip each nail make sure it is a little still.

  6. I understand this problem all too well and here is what I do. I use the type of nail clippers that I use on my own nails. Hold the kitten as still as you possibly can. Take the toe of the kitten and push down enough to make the nail pop out. Now you should see a white part and a pink part of the nail " If your cat has black nails this might be a problem since you won't see a pink part " without getting too close to the pink part cut the little hook part of the nail off with the clipper and do this to each nail. This won't be an easy job to do by yourself so you might want to have a friend either hold or clip the nail when you do this. If you do cut into the pink part of the nail the kitten or cat will start to bleed if this happens get an ice cube out and touch it to the bleeding nail. This will cause the blood vessel to constrict and bleeding to slow. Cats lose a lot of blood from toenails that are broken or cut too short, but a cat will not lose so much blood that its dangerous.
