http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abu-Nechim-c909 shared the new ball.
The Caribbean club had a good opening over as Barath smashed two boundaries off Malinga and fetched 10 runs in the process.
Malinga showed his experience and remained calm under the onslaught. The bowler was rewarded for his persistent line, as he picked the wicket of Barath (11) on the final delivery of his second over.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DM-Bravo-c1386, the left-handed batsman, came out to bat at number three. Bravo showed aggressive intent from the start as he lofted the second ball that he faced for a massive six over long-on, off Yuzvendra Chalal’s bowling.
Simmons imitated Bravo as he thumped Ahmed for a six over long-on. However, it was all the entertainment that the batsman was able to provide, as he was run-out a couple of deliveries later. Simmons scored 21 runs from 18 balls.
Bravo continued to stay aggressive and Ganga joined him after the departure of Bravo.
At the end of the powerplay, T&T were 52 for the loss of two wickets. MI started to gain momentum after the powerplay as they grabbed the wickets of Ganga and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/D-Ramdin-c1299 in quick succession.
MI skipper, Harbhajan, further strengthened his side’s grip on the match, as he brought an end to Bravo’s innings in 10th over. Bravo failed to convert the start that he got into something big and got out after scoring
18 runs.
The off-spinner struck again, an over later, and this time it was http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sherwin-Ganga-c90004, who fell prey to Harbhajan’s lethal bowling.
Malinga was then brought back into the attack as MI’s wanted to wrap-up things quickly. The judgment proved to be a good one as two wickets came in Malinga’s next over.
Ahmed finally brought an end to T&T’s innings, when he took the wicket of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sunil-Philip-Narine-c91869 on the second delivery of 17th over.
The total tally of 98 was a poor total, especially given the batting lineup of the Mumbai Indians.
