A waste of taxpayers money, a waste of training, a waste of police time. What is the value of the training when the skills cannot be implemented due to the inefficiencies and mismanagement in the government workforce? Accept the fact that change is not good for T&T and continue on the path to self destruction.First they must take the animal out of them and teach them to human beings, so they can interact with society in a human way. This is c**p Who needs the training the most? 2. Hey Roger. Welcome back. TY

  3. Relax dude the US probably paid for it. The US trys to help others but many are too parinoid to realize it.

I stand corrected. Your nation only recieved $200,000 in aid for 2007.

Your nation has a reputation for being a good place to invest and is attracting more tourtists so it is important that you check crime. If it gets too high tourists will be reluctant to visit.

The entire nation has only about as many people as Fort Worth, TX . It should be a great place to live. Crime in a town like Fort Worth, TX as an example is driven by drugs and gangs. The gang members should be easy to identify as should the drug dealers if that is a the problem. Its not like there are a 300 times more people out there for them to hide amoungst. Maybe your police are learning how to deal with that kind of situation.

You cannot overcome mismanagement or inefficiencies without knowledge. That is what training does for you.

And do not be afraid to speak your mind about the US. Freedom of speech and freedom of expression are part of the foundation of this nation.

  4. Okay.... What suggestions are you bringing to the table to faciliate reform?

You say that we should accept the fact that change is not good for T&T and continue on the path of self destruction. Are you MAD??? After reporting these things to us with such passion is that the best solution you see for the country? If that is the way you truly feel, then why are you complaining about the current situation?

The above plan may not be in the best interest of the country but oh gosh nah, come up with a solution that makes sense!

  5. cold_fearrrr eh know ship like Uncle Sam pity we and give we dis

  6. When i have to think this hard to determine what Roger is asking then i know that i dont need to answer the question stated.

However, the problem with Roger is that he has difficulties when the Govt dont do anything abot crime, and he has a problem when they attempt to do something about crime.  Either way there is no pleasing him.

I going and start a petition....... Roger for Minister of National Security! that way he will solve all T&Ts problems.

  7. I'd like to travel to Guyana so I think I need to carefully choose what I say - since I'm also considering traveling through the US to Guyana.

So here is a response to your comments:

    "A waste of taxpayers money"

Most things are, if it wasn't that, it'd be something else. I think you just need to trust your government that they are putting money to where they feel it is needed. If you don't agree contact your representative and communicate where you think money needs to be spent.

    " a waste of training"

Cops can never have too much training, imo.

" a waste of police time"

For issues with a high crime rate, balancing training and on duty work should be left to the police administration and if required the legislators or civilian oversight groups, such as city hall in the case of metros to determine. You could be right, but I can't say for sure.

"What is the value of the training when the skills cannot be implemented due to the inefficiencies and mismanagement in the government workforce?"

Perhaps they are also planning to address the inefficiencies and mismanagement in the government workforce at a latter date but just havn't got around to it yet, but when they do things will fall together!

Accept the fact that change is not good for T&T and continue on the path to self destruction.

Change is something that comes alongside time, but we should aim to make change for the better --- fluid reality is engrained with change.. with out it we are motionless.. what fun is that?

"First they must take the animal out of them and teach them to human beings, so they can interact with society in a human way."

Perhaps the high ranking officers are suppose to impart their knowledge to their junior officers, and the beat cops?

Or perhaps it is so that international cooperation and standards can be implemented when needed, such as during high level state occasions such as hosting US officials etc...

I really don't know.. I think you can never be too trained. Maybe the high level officers don't have anything else to do but train .. and it is a matter of them doing something with their time..?
