The trinity is the belief that there is a godhead, a holy spirit and then Jesus right?

This explains how that since Jesus was "lord" he prayed to the other 2 parts of God. right?

Does this mean people who believe in trinity believe that there are 3 Gods? Or 3 parts of Gods? Are these parts the same in power? They all control the universe and stuff? Whats a godhead (what kind of object is it.)?

Please just answer the questions best answer gets 10 points obviously.

  1. You'll just get more and more confused if you listen to a hard-core christian.

  2. This is seriously a concept that many different churches have different doctrines on.  Obviously an unchanging god (same yesterday, today and forever) would not have so many conflicting doctrines.

I think the best example of the nature of God is portrayed in Jesus' baptism.

    1.  God the Father spoke from heaven.

    2.  The Holy Ghost descended in the form of a dove.

    3.  Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.

The Godhead is composed of 3 separate, distinct individuals.  God the Father and Jesus Christ possessing perfected bodies of flesh and bone; they are absolute 1 in purpose, to the point where they can speak for each other as if the other were there.

The following link goes into greater detail and also gives additional scriptural evidence.

  3. There is no trinity. Jesus is not God.

  4. The trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

These three are different "roles" that God plays.  The Father is the creator, the Son is the Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit is the Guide.

They are different roles of one God. However, in Hebrew, many of God's names are in the plural form, not to indicate several Gods, but to show His greatness(Elohim, for example, is plural). This is call the "Plurality of God"

I'm not very familiar with the term "Godhead" but it seems to somply indicate God's divinity.

  5. One God identified in three persons. Just as humans have spirit, mind and body.

  6. If you want to better understand the Christian tirinity Go east read the Upanishads read the Bagdvada Gita.

There is no true monotheism Even Islam must divide God into differant aspects. God Satan angels demons all divisions of God.

God And The angels more divisions in Judaism

God the son and the holy spirit angels demons satan more divisions.in christianity. ITs just local language.

You can have one God and divide him a billion times in the mind.

God is everything it is our lobed brains existing in a universe of opposites that must divide. We cannot think outside of opposites outside of space and time.God is outside and inside. The self is not seperate from the self.  Read genesis. What happened in the beginning using metaphor. We ate of the fruit of opposites we entered this universe. The gateway back is gaurded by two cherubs or flaming swords (more opposites) it is blocked by our minds clinging to ego.

The same tree that Budha sits under the same tree that christ was hung from the axis mundai the gateway back beyond this universe better beyond the blocks of our minds that prevent us from seeing the kingdom right in front of us or behind us again more opposites more of the language we are forced to use.

then there is the fact that how do we have a relationship with God who is beyond all that we can conceive without blowing our minds an frying our circuits God steps into creation. He who is everything becomes us so that we can know that he really feels the pain we felt from those opposites the wholes in his hands.Or we must have a prophet or a book to worship.

God is not divided but can be at two places at once. WHY because the logic that our lobed brains use to think does not apply beyond opposites. We are not capable of describing it we can only use metaphor and language.

The best things cannot be told the trancend human thought

the second best things are attemts using our local languages to describe the first this causes confusion because a Sheep herder or a banker will use differant symbols to describe it

    so we argue over it.

God is one He reaches us with differant faces those faces are formed by Us in our minds.

God protects us with Burning bushes or third eyes.

  7. All these answers in favor of the Trinity doctrine , where is the trinity taught in the bible , they offer no proof, They quote no Scripture, why ? they  have none . It's a pagan teaching, Not in the Bible.

Let us use Gods word ( for his word is Truth) the Bible, To answer ..We can say of this ‘second Adam,’ Jesus Christ, that he, too, was like his Father in heaven. (Heb. 1:3) “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” (Col. 1:15) Christians are invited to walk worthily of Jehovah to the end of fully pleasing him. (Col. 1:10) So those who want to be like Jehovah God would be looking to Christ Jesus as their example so as to be walking in his footsteps.

While Jesus was made in the image of his Father in heaven, he never sought to be equal with God, for we read: “Christ Jesus, . . . although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake.” (Phil. 2:5-8) So we see that Jesus Christ himself, fashioned as a perfect man, became obedient to everything that Jehovah God said he should do. Those who want to “become imitators of God” must walk according to the way Jesus walked, for Jesus said: “He that does not love me does not observe my words; and the word that you are hearing is not mine, but belongs to the Father who sent me.” (John 14:24) Jesus was so much like his Father Jehovah God, so much in harmony with His righteous ways and life, that when he spoke, the listener would not be hearing something that Jesus was thinking up of his own imagination. Why? Because the Bible says: “The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner. For the Father has affection for the Son and shows him all the things he himself does, and he will show him works greater than these.”—John 5:19, 20. If you want further proof that Jesus Was Gods First Creation, Listen to what Jesus says as Wisdom personified:  Proverbs 8: all of it.

  8. A simple analogy would be...

    God is like a plant...

comprised of stem, seed and fruit..

    Jesus was the fruit maybe.

and maybe the holy spirit is the seed...

    and God is the stem...

  9. Read John 1:1 -

There is one true God and He has different roles. Father and Son and Holy Spirit

  10. Wrong.

Jesus prayed to only 1/3 of God.

He usually forgot to mention the other 1/3 too.

There is no Trinity. Jesus is God's Son (1 John 5:5)

  11. You're right, it doesn't. Never has, Never will.

Only Trinitarians can try an attempt at explaining it,

with conviction, but, it cannot be done.

It is Not a scriptural teaching.

It is a teaching that Denys the Son of God.

And even God Almighty Himself, if you really think about it.

It is illogical, non-sensical and completely absurd.

Got to admit, that last Q is Funny!

    I've thought that myself.

"what is a godhead, what kind of object is it?

    Funny!!!

  12. Though it is certainly right that you inquire into what Trinitarianism is.  You will eventually find that Trinitarians cannot answer specifics about what the Trinity is.  The best they can give you is absurd statements that define it (usually dependent upon unique definitions that do not apply to anything else), and equally absurd graphic images (like clover leaves, ice cubes, etc.) -- which they will also claim do not accurately depict the Trinity.

BTW, Jesus never prayed to the holy spirit.

    .

  13. I always look at it like this. God is one god. But there are three parts to Him. Like water, it can be liquid (water), solid (ice) or gas (vapour). Or as my mum says, "I am a mum, a daughter, and a sister, different roles, but still one person"

    Hope that helped a little?

Sorry, I've no idea what a "godhead" is, maybe something atheists call us Christians as an offensive nickname?

  14. Holy Trinity is looks like

Man has  soul , body and  spirit  3 in 1

Sun has it  self , light , heat.      3 in 1

  15. Christians who subscribe to the "Holy Trinity" are in utter denial that with its invention, their religion became polytheistic. It's the only sensible answer to a completely non-sensical doctrine.

  16. You're right, it doesn't make any sense, does it? One of the reasons why it doesn't is because it is not a scriptural teaching. Take just this example for example: Remember when Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane praying to his father for help and guidance? Why would he need to pray to himself for himself? Does that make any sense?

Update: Ooops, looks like a hit a nerve with someone. Truth hurts.

  17. 1 God made up of 3 parts

  18. We only have one federal government. It is made up of an executive branch, a legislative branch, and a judicial branch. They are all one government but have three branches. The same is with God. There is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All one God.

Godhead is a term used to describe all three, like government is a term to describe all three branches. God is the head and we are the body.
