  1. dont do drugs

  2. None, but most, if not all, are readily available. Weed is tolerated, and may be bought and smoked openly in the "coffee" shops, E's, speed, coke etc. are all illegal. If you go to one of the smart shops, you can buy a number of drugs which are illegal in the UK and USA. I think 2CB is still legal over there, as well as a number of others. You can also buy magic mushrooms and peyote/san pedro.

    If you want E's, amphetamine, coke etc. go down the red light district. You will hear people whispering "ecstasy" and speed all over the place. If you do buy from street dealers, use your head, don't do anything stupid or get yourself in any dodgy situations and don't get nicked. And most importantly, have a fookin good time. I did.

  3. Save yourself the trip - you already are fcked up (your words!) if that is the only reason you wish to visit the Netherlands for.

    Amazing, isn`t it - there is an actual country there - and it is not called Amsterdam.

    The ONLY legal drugs are caffeine and sugar - and to a lesser degree tobacco. Alcohol too.

    If you want anything else - stay at home - you are then not exactly the kind of tourist that we would like to see .

  4. Easy answer is - stay and home and get 'f'd up" (your words not mine).

    There are no 'legal' drugs in Amsyerdam or the Netherlands.  Marijuana is 'tolerated' under given conditions.

    - no more than five grams per person may be sold in any one transaction;

    - no hard drugs may be sold;

    - drugs may not be advertised;

    - the coffee shop must not cause any nuisance;

    - no drugs may be sold to persons under the age of 18, nor may minors be admitted on the premises.

    Concerning other drugs - all very illegal and all very stringently acted upon by the police, so if you want to walk about f'd up, attracting the attention of the police (yes they are around both in uniform and plain clothed) so be it.  At least you won't have to pay for a hotel but I hear that the inside of police cell even in Amsterdam is not exactly pleasant.  Oh and you can forget even returning once your passport is linked with being jailed for illegal drugs!

    Like any other main city in Western Europe, the US and beyond, if you walk down the right streets you can get offers of illegal drugs - but good luck with knowing what you are taking - anything from baking soda to something that could kill you outright!.

    As I said, if that's your preferance, so be it, but stay at home.  (a) you will know your sources for this kind of thing better than a foreign city and (b) your brand of tourism is most certainly not welcome

  5. no drugs are "legal" in amsterdam just tolerated..

    yes even pot and hash... but yes pot,hash,space cakes are sold in coffee shops... in "smart shops" they sell shrooms, fresh peyote buttons other "smart drugs" .. if you are in the red light you will hear people whispering "ecstacy, cocaine" all over the place it always seemed really sketchy.. im sure hard drugs are easily accesible but i wouldnt trust anyone..
