  1. Summer is the most expensive time to go.  May pay up to $1000 a ticket.  I flew into Paris last OCTOBER...for $500.  I went for a month..stayed in hostels, traveled on a moderate budget.  The entire month cost $3000...that included everything..plus I traveled 4 countries (England too) in that time and saw every major site in each country..plus England is twice the cost as US so..if going to just France...may spend less.

  2. July and August is the high season in France, and most of Europe actually.  Airfares are very high (excess of 1000 USD).  You can book them yourself on any major travel website (expedia, travelocity, etc.).

Hotels are a similar situation, pricewise.  Also, be a little weary.  Hotel ratings are a bit different in Europe.  Even a 3 star hotel in France could be of a lower quality than a local Holiday Inn.

However, that is also when France is at its most beautiful.

What you might want to look into is going in May or June.  The weather is quite nice and prices haven't skyrocketed yet.

  3. Summer fares are quite pricey.  You could be looking at over 1K per person just in airfare.  Hotels also get more expensive during the summer months.  As far as how much it will cost for your family will depend on when and where you go and stay.  You can either buy tickets online or you can go through a reputable travel agent.

  4. Bon voyage !
