Trip to Japan from the US help please!!!?!?!?

Hi.

Im trying to plan a trip to Tokyo Japan from the US for next year.

What is a good time to fly? where can i find the cheapest flights?

and Any good cheap hotels in Tokyo??

Oh, and how far is the ocean from Tokyo???

Use HIS International. I used them to get my ticket from LA to Tokyo earlier this year.

They do a lot of travel business to and from Japan. They have better rates than the online travel sites. I think they buy tickets in bulk. Plus you get to talk an English speaking agent that helps with your trip and any questions you may have.

It's tough to say how far Tokyo is from the sea, technically, Tokyo is right on the coast, however, the whole Tokyo area is absolutely huge and stretches about half the width of Japan - just one city! So obviously, how far you are from the sea all depends where your staying, but to give you some idea, if you were staying on the Western fringes of Tokyo (the furthest away you could be from the coast, it would probably take about 4-5 hours by public transport to get to the coast, and this is still travelling through Tokyo, that might give you so idea of the imsense scale of the city. However, as you'd probably be staying more centrally in Tokyo, a more realistic estimation is that you'd be about an hour from the coast.
