Trip to Rome?

Me and my wife are planning to go on a holiday to rome, we both are indian citizens residing in the UK, are there any hotels and tour operators who can help us in providing cheap accomodation and visa procedures. anybody with similar experience please contribute

  1. Hello! Sounds like it'll be a great trip :)  As far as I know, if you're coming from the UK, you don't need a visa to go to Rome for a short visit. Italy and the UK are both within what's called the Schengen area, and allow for free border crossing from countries within the area to other countries within the area, for tourist purposes. See this article for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Ag... I could be wrong though, the fact that you have an Indian passport might be an issue. In that case, I would say that you should first contact the closest Italian consulate to find out if you need a tourist visa on your Indian passport.

    As far as accomodation, you should check out www.hotels.com. It's a worldwide hotel finder, and you can very often find really good deals.
