Hi everyone! how's everyone doing???? ok so I am in an ap spanish class and we have the opportunity to go to Europe! I really want to go of course it's NOT free! but i still want to go. My teacher said that the total will be 2,000 (excluding shopping) it includes the hotel, food, and roundtrip ticket! I really want to go im 16 and i think this would be a great opportunity!! I dont have any money i can use for that at all i have 500$ in my bank account!!! but that's for college and i refuse to spent that money! over the summer i had a job and thats why i saved the 500$ but now I'm in school and i am taking 3 ap classes and 3 other regular classes so i dont think working would be the way to go because i dont think i would be able to handle it, i think we are going to do fundraising stuff to get money but i dont know if i will be able to make enough so do you have any other suggestions, maybe my parents can pitch in a little bit i dont know but i really want to go and its for 2 weeks so i really really want to go!!!! help me please any ideas? How should i raise money? and is it worth it to go? I live in the U.s and what about school work i will be missing 1 week of school thank you!

  1. Depending when your trip is, you could ask for money toward it for Christmas and/or your birthday.

Babysitting will give you time to do homework once the kids are asleep.

Take advantage of the fund raising your school does...especially if they divide the money based on how much you sell or participate.

Get a job over Christmas break...lots of retailers need extra help that time of year.

Ask your parents.  I know I would chip in for my kids, but the amount would depend partly on what I could afford.

As far as missing school...I don't think you'll have to worry much about your Spanish homework, but if you plan ahead, get your assignments and work ahead as much as possible you'll do fine.

I think the experience will be well worth missing a few days of school!

Hope you have a wonderful trip!
