  1. haven't been there sorry but would like to go

  2. Go to www.fodors.com and search the forums there, both European and U. S. for answers to all of this and more.  Click on the Talk section, then search for France.  It's an awesome site.  Have fun!

  3. Wow, to tell you the truth, i had a horrible time. I went in June about 3 years ago when they had the worst heat wave ever.. Killed thousands... Visited the eifel tower to only find out you have to wait in line for 3 hours in the 107 degree heat... Walked all over paris to only figure out that the metro was sooo cheap.. Take the metro .. and id advise you .. DONT DRIVE IN PARIS! Stayed at a hotel that had bullet holes in the back of it. If you want a decent hotel.. Go to the ones right across the street from the eifel tower.. They will be in 200+ euros..=$230+ a night... thought it was gonna be very romantic to only find out .. its full of indian people beggin you to buy stuff and paris is also REALLY trashed and unkept..Did not have any satisfaction what so ever... But hope you like it!

  4. ok.  .you should start off with the city ride a boat. . take a city tour. .  .

  5. I went to Paris for the first time over 35 years ago. Since then I have returned dozens of times. I'm going again in October and staying almost all month.

Obviously I reallly enjoy myself there.

There are a very wide range of places to stay from backpacker hostels to $1000 a night rooms at luxury hotels like the George V and the Hotel Crillon.

When I don't rent an apartment I usually stay at the Hotel St. Andre des Artes where you can get a double room with private baith and toilet facilites for 86 euros (about $120) pernight (whihc inlcudes breakfast).

Its the best location in Paris and a very pleasant place although very simple (nop elevators, mini-bar or cable TV) This website gives details: http://www.123france.com/en/0/hotel-sain...
