  1. You will need a certified copy of your birth certificate and a certified copy of your child's birth certificate and you will need government issued photo ID and you will ALSO need a NOTARIZED LETTER from the Child's father that he has your permission to take the child to Mexico... and they are REALLY serious about that one because of the child stealing problems in the U.S.

  2. YOU NEED A PASSPORT TO ENTER MEXICO, SORRY, AND NEW GUIDELINES, ALSO A VISA, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER COUNTRY, EXEPT THOSE WHO JAVE TRATY NOT FOR VISA, BUT OUT OF USA NEED PASSPORT AND ALSO YOUR 3 MONTH OLD BABY, NOW THAT MANY BABIES DISAPPEAR. IN ANY COUNTRY, NOT JUST MEXICO, LOOK WHAT HAPPEN TO MEDELAINE IN PORTUGAL

  3. Passports are not yet needed for LAND travel to Mexico.  You need a gov't issued photo I.D. and your certified birth certificate.  You need the baby's birth certificate.  See site below to see that passports are not yet needed...date has not been set. If you are FLYING to Mexico, you must have passports, including the baby.  If the baby's father is not also going, you will need a signed, notarized letter of permission from him. See 2nd site and read section on "Minors" under " Entry requirements."  See 3rd site for all passport aplication info if you need that...tho there is not enough time to get passports before THIS trip...but you will need them in the future.  If youare flying for THIS trip, the only possible way to get passports on time would be to drive to one of the 13 regional passport offices in the U.S. and get it in person...you have to call first for an app't.  See last site for list of these agencies.

  4. Just for fun, run across the border then sign up for welfare. See how much they like it!

  5. if you have your passport, bring it with you, that and some state picture id, drivers license  or something else also with your picture and address on it along with your name, if you can bring 3 peaces of id  i would say do so, make sure they are Government id, if you can. that's what i would do, or at least 2 passport and drivers license.

as for the baby Birth certificate, and if you have passport, i would recommend calling a travel agent, or immigration or even the boarder headquarters to ask.
