  1. I went to paris and I stayed in Hotel Mecure and it is RIGHT by the Eiffel Tower, like you can see it outside your window!! AMAZING

Hotel Mercure Paris Suffren Tour Eiffel

    20, Rue Jean Rey

    75015 Paris, France

    Hotel code : 2175 - Tel : (+33)1/45785000

    (:

HAVE FUN IN PARIS!!!! OHH no matter what, you have have have to get some crepes before you leave!

  2. Check out www.hotelresidencedupalais.com.

I think I paid 53 Euros per night for a double room with a balcony and a shower in the room (toilet down the hall). The place was amazing. The owner speaks very good English, and allowed me to stay on an extra mattress in the laundry room when I arrived at 2am a night early. He didn't have any other rooms, so he let me stay in the laundry room for free. The hotel is within sight of Luxembourg Gardens, and about a ten minute walk from Notre Dame. It's in the Latin Quarter, and there are a lot of beautiful places within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel.

  3. My favorite little hotel is the Hotel St. Andre des Arts. I've stayed there dozens of times over the last 30+ years. Its centrally located and just a short walk to Notre Dame, the Place St. Michel, a block to the Blvd. St. Germain, and around the corner from Le Procope (the oldest cafe in paris).

The area is very lively and filled with cafes, restaruants, and shops. There is a great street market on the next block and becuase of the constant activity its very safe.

Its vital to book in advance as they are VERY popular.

  4. Can't answer your hotel question, but keep in mind that a lot of stuff may be closed because the 14th is Bastille Day.  That would also mean you'll probably want to book a room ASAP because they will fill up quick.  Have fun seeing all the Bastille Day celebrations.  :)

  5. The Mercure chain of hotels are really nice and reasonably priced, and my favourite is the 'Paris Cusset Opera'. It's in a great location, and is right next to a gorgeous little shopping arcade. Rooms cost about 100 Euros per night.

If you want a little independent hotel, there are plenty about. A nice one is Hôtel Acacias Etoile, 11, rue des Acacias. It's quite near l'Arc de Triomphe and the rooms are lovely, normally around 165 Euros per night, but there's a promotion on at the moment.

Another great hotel is Hôtel des Tuilleries, 10 Rue Hyacinthe. It's in a great location - the first arrondisement, and is a real authentic Paris hotel. Rooms from 150 Euros. If you're after something more modern, the hotel Marciano is great. At the moment, if you book online, rooms start at 99 Euros per night, and it is situated very close to Boulevard Haussmann, where Galeries Lafayette is, and not too far away from Sacré Coeur.

Hope that helps, and enjoy your stay in Paris.

  6. In July montmarte good to stay cause of hillside could offer you more fresh air, otherwise Eiffel7 is always good 4 travelers.I am planning as well to visit  somewhere on 14Th of July and got a lot of us full info at www.europe-cities.com or www.hotelclub.com as well make little research at traveladviser.Good luck.

  7. there are several cheap hotels in Paris, some good, others a little seedier. but if you want to stay cheap, hostels might not be a bad idea. a couple of the better known ones are Auberge de Jeunesse–Jules Ferry and Auberge de Jeunesse – Le d’Artagnan, ranging from 20 to 70 euros. try this link http://indianchiefguides.com/en/node/231...  where there are more than a hundred hotels listed and described, with prices, locations, contact info including hotel websites...
