I'm re locating from Ireland in mid August, leaving here with a tank full of diesel and crossing to Fishguard, but that will probably be gone but the time I reach the other side of England, Ramsgate. Then I get off the ferry at Ostend and my final destination is the north of Holland. Where should I fill up again, Belgium or wait until I cross the border in Holland? Thanks a lot!

  1. In the last couple of weeks, diesel used to be about 6 eurocent cheaper in Belgium than in the Netherlands. But yesterday they have reported almost equal prices for both countries. Belgium 1,42 € per liter; Netherlands 1,44 € per liter. Based on the tendency of prices I would recommend to fill up in Belgium.

  2. Belgium.

    all you need :)

  4. Definately top up before you crossover from Belgium to the Netherlands as it is considerably cheaper on both petrol & diesel there.

A nice site to check & compare fuel prices is via the AA (UK Automobile Association http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/fue...

You can see from the July report that here in NL, fuel prices are pretty high compared with most of the rest of Europe
