  1. St Mark's square, Murano glass factory, the gondola's and the bridge of sighs.  Just a warning - there are no toilet seats on the toilets in Venice.

  2. Our absolute best tour was to Cannaregio, to the Jewish Ghetto.  We visited 3 or 4 synagogues and it was just fascinating history.

We were enchanted by the whole city, but Cannaregio left the greatest imprint on us.

  3. i went to venice a couple years ago and we got to go see the men make glass vases in murano, andwe also got to make masks in venice.  you MUST see the doge's palace if you can get as guided tour.  it is the most amazing place! i stayed in the san clemente palace, which by boat you can get there. i suggest pretending you are staying there and checking out the hotel.  it is out of this world gorgeous! and i you have good transportation, go to verona where romeo and juliet's house is.  have fun!

  4. Venice is situated on 115 islands in the Venetian Lagoon, criss-crossed by more than 150 canals and 400 bridges, and a maze of gondolas and water buses, arched bridges, palaces & quiet piazzas.

The must-sees include: Peggy Guggenheim Museum, Venetian Music, and Osteria "Alla Botte" Cicchetteria. Click the link below for a list of all the Must-See Sights of Venice, Italy.

  5. Hi i am italian i live in bologna...in venice you must see San Marco cattedral...it's really beatiful

  6. Several things you dont want to miss is St. Marks square, Murano glass factory, and a beautiful church named Santa Maria de la Salute. Also, every museum in venice is absolutely awesome, but I wouldn't miss the one across from saint mark's : -)

  7. I visited Venice in 1970, was so happy I sang every day all day long and wept when we left. It's got such a romantic aura, it's so beautiful. We made a side trip to Ravenna--so worth it.

(The glass factory, a boat-maker if you can get in for a tour)

We saw a movie being made.

Hope your trip is great. I could look up what we did, but I expect others have fresher info.
