Triple Tag Team Match – Joey Mercury, Luke Gallows & CM Punk defeat MVP, Chris Masters & JTG
It has been officially decided that the Straight Edge Society will face Big Show in a 3-on-1 handicap tag team match at SummerSlam. All members of the Straight Edge Society gave a vicious beating to the world’s largest athlete and injured his right hand. This is the same hand which Big Show uses to Chokeslam his opponents with. As SummerSlam is coming near, it was decided that all male members of the Straight Edge Society will fight the unique tag team of MVP, Chris Masters and JTG. The stage was set for a classic match but the fight did not start the usual way. CM Punk took all members of the Straight Edge Society to the ring before the start of the fight.
He instructed them that the only way to win a fight is to obey his instructions without any question. He also told the Society members that the moment they will start making their independent judgments, they will lose the match. After the end of his speech, MVP, Chris Masters and JTG entered the arena for the fight.
It was initially Luke Gallows and JTG who squared off against each other in the ring. The match started as Luke Gallows delivered a knee-kick to JTG’s abdomen. JTG knew that it would be difficult to face the big Luke Gallows in the start of the fight so he tagged in MVP, who entered the ring and started punching Gallows’ face. MVP really shifted the momentum of the match in his team’s favour as he banged Luke Gallows’ face on the ring floor. MVP then went for the cover but Luke Gallows kicked out before the final count of three. Meanwhile, CM Punk continued to instruct his team regarding the fighting style, allowing them to handle the bulk of the fight.
The instructions of CM Punk really worked when Luke Gallows delivered a close line and knocked down MVP. He then tagged in his partner, Joey Mercury, to enter the ring and finish the job. Joey Mercury was quick in his attack as he kicked MVP’s chest. Joey Mercury then cornered MVP and started punching his face with all his strength. Straight Edge Society gave no chance to MVP to tag JTG or Chris Masters, who were standing fresh on the other corner of the ring. Joey Mercury and Luke Gallows then adopted a brilliant strategy as they frequently tagged in each other to keep the fresher wrestler in the ring. MVP then tried to show some resistance by giving a hard jerk to Luke Gallows’ neck.
MVP then ran to the ring ropes to build some momentum. That was the time when the leader of the Straight Edge Society, CM Punk disregarded the rules of professional wrestling and kicked MVP on the back of his head. MVP was not expecting that attack from behind, and as he tried to recover from the shock, he faced another shock as he turned back and all of a sudden, Luke Gallows finished him off with a boot to his face.
CM Punk, who excels in the art of cheating, won yet again as Luke Gallows went for the cover and the referee counted to three with MVP’s shoulders touching the ring floor. Straight Edge Society won as they worked as a team under their charismatic leader, CM Punk. CM Punk did not even enter the ring during the entire match. Straight Edge Society is all geared up to fight the world’s largest athlete, the 500 pounder Big Show at the biggest party of the summer known as SummerSlam in 7 days.
