Does anyone know the largest triplets ever born? My sister-in-law is pregnant with triplets right now and I'm just curious. Thanks!

  1. The average weight for triplets is 4 lbs 1 oz.

    In the UK, the Yafano and Boro triplets are among the biggest ever born, each set weighing a combined 20 lbs. This averages to about 6.6 lbs per baby.

    It's thought that the heaviest triplets on record were born in 1914 to the McDermott family - the combined weight of the three babies was 24lb - each baby averaging 8lbs.
