Tripod For My Video Camera?

I have a video camera its a

hitachi dz-mv780e

I dont know alot about camera's ext i was wondering are all tripods universal ?

And if so will this tripod be compatible with it ?

It was thought that a tripod was essential for moving pictures. Not today. Hand-held movies are the latest way to go. The rule has always been the camera moves or the subject moves so keep still or move to that rule.

yes they all  have the same s***w fitting that goes into the base of your camera just check your camera has the threaded hole on its base.

That tripod looks ok and should do you pretty well as long as you are not a professional using it every day and throwing it about rough like

As far as I am aware, all camera's and video camera's share the same fittings for tripods. If you are unsure, go into an electrical store like Curries or Comet and ask =)
