Question:

Triton Shower replacement - UK answers only please!?

I have a recently deceased Triton Topaz T100i shower - this model now no longer exists and has been replaced by the Topaz T100si which is not suitable size-wise for my bathroom (typical!).

The Triton site says the T100XR is the 'replacement' to the Topaz T100i but are there any plumbers / electricians out there who can suggest which other models - or even brands - that can replace it?

It's a 9.5kw and the showerhose exits on the bottom left. I don't care for lights, flashing buttons and chrome twiddly bits - I just want a good, decent priced shower so advice really is appreciated!

  1. i agree with boy boy as a electrician alot of people are asking for the mira sport, it is a good shower and very easy to fit and if your old one was 9.5kw then the wiring should be fine for a mira sport 9.5 kw roughly about £110 from my local wholesalers.

  2. I have had 2 Tritons

The first let me down twice during the warranty and again shortly after.

When it finally packed up the electrician told me they had dramatically improved - and he was right my new one is OK - touch wood.

The issue with replacement was about the profile because the tiler had fitted everything around the original and the wiring and water supply dictated the position. To go for another type would mean loads more work. So, maybe just go for the 'replacement'

  3. Try the big DIY stores they have loads.

  4. Look at Mira and Gainsborough.

  5. the best shower on the market is a mira sport

  6. I've had Triton for years, excellent showers. Here's a link to there site where you can see various models and request a brochure.
