Trivia Question on Terminal Area Charts?

Most Terminal Area Charts show a silhouette of a large jet with a few triangles indicating the direction of flight and altitude.

  2. I really don't know for sure, but I'd guess it's a DC8.

    Edit: dude, you're killing me... I wish Jane's had an online guide!  The DC8 is appendage-free.  Not Boeing-like... Doesn't look Airbus-ish either.  Methinks it may be military?

    Another edit:  The 707 initially came to mind, but that's missing an appendage as well...

    NICE!!!  The thought had actually crossed my mind (KC135), but I thought the refueling boom was a bit too much of a stretch, especially since it is supposed to depict arrival routes into Class B airports...Talked myself right out of it!  I'm sure I'll always notice that now for the rest of my life!
