Trojan Rocket relishing to win Poptelecom.CO.UK Unlimited Broadband Handicap (Betfair Sprint Flat Series Qualifier)
The Michael Wigham trained bay gelding, Trojan Rocket, will capitalise on his pleasant experience with Newmarket racecourse in an effort to win the Poptelecom.CO.UK Unlimited Broadband Handicap (Betfair Sprint Flat Series Qualifier), a Class 4 contest that
is scheduled to take place today, July 20.
For the prize money worth £5,175, the four-year-old veteran horse will face a dozen of rivals on the 6-furlong soft track. Never before in his 18-race career, the son of Elusive City out of Tagula Bay has experienced any soft ground, but he owns decent record
at the venue where he is supposed to show his guts on Friday.
Trojan Rocket has been enjoying great momentum since the outset of the calendar year. In the month of January, he grabbed a 4th and a 3rd position in two back-to-back races at Wolverhampton and Kempton.
On February 6 at Wolverhampton, the skilled sprinter marvellously finished first in the Bet At Blue Square On Your Mobile Handicap over 7 furlongs. That proved to be a big morale booster for the winner who moved ahead to accomplish another tremendous triumph
in the Racing Excellence “Hands And Heels” Apprentice Series Handicap (The Racing Excellence Initiative) over 6 furlongs at Newmarket.
On May 25, the J. G. F. Fox bred horse finished as a runner-up in the Oddschecker.Com Handicap over 7 furlongs at Yarmouth.
Again at Newmarket on June 23, the brilliant Irish gelding emphatically won the Bet365.Com Handicap over 6 furlongs. Thus, he has 5 classic conquests to his name. The way he performed in the last few races suggests that Trojan Rocket will be able to thrive
convincingly in the coming contest.
Among the gelding’s competitors, Rivas Rhapsody is the only big name. The Ian Wood trained bay filly has constantly been on the podium since the very first day of her 6-race career.
Debuting in November 2011, the daughter of Hawk Wing out of Riva Royale won each one of her first three starts. She moved on to finish as a runner-up in the next three outings.
In this situation, it seems quite obvious that both Trojan Rocket and Rivas Rhapsody will have a tough mutual battle. Let us see who wins it. Good luck to the duo.
