Well today my friend got his gaming account stolen. We started talking with other friends as we use something called IRC. But that's not the problem. The guy who hacked my friend uploaded a picture of the things he stole and sent it to my friend. He uploaded it from the site imageshack.us and sent it to my friend which he sent to me. Now the problem is, I'm worried that the picture link I clicked on had a Trojan on it and I don't want my personal things stolen such as my passwords. I have avg free 8.0 and spybot search and destroy. Will this remove that Trojan from the picture? Also the guy told my friend to download something and that's why he got hacked.

  1. now that is why u should never trust a site before anyone has done it.

  2. I'd unplug your internet and use a different computer to look it up or something so he can't get anything from you.

Try scanning with those programs and see if you uncover anything.  Try using ThreatFire, and a Trend-Micro Homecall.  If you find out that its common or anything, you should find a removal guide to get rid of it, if the Anti-virus doesn't work.

Note to all: AVG Doesn't solve everything.  I've found its only reliable to find something as soon as it arrives on your computer at a 50% chance.

  3. AVG will cover it..

    Everyone has AVG...

    :D

  4. apply all you safety stuff and all should be well. But act fast.

  5. you will not like the answer'' maybe'' - i would use a online antivirus in case you antivirus is corrupted go to ewido online scan - just type it in your search engine and run it ,it take about an hour that should clean you up   you never ever download from someone you don't know   good luck stay safe .....miktill

  6. Your story is a load of bs but i suggest you to deactivate all your accounts like msn stuff like that. Back up your important files and reformat your cpu to ensure complete safety from this hacker. After that reinstall your anti virus and run scans
