Trolling motor (only) need wiring help?

This motor isa 50# thrust it's called a Minn kotta Dolphin(no one has heard of it) brand new just motor and wires Black, red, yellow, blue have no idea how tho hook them up or what type of battery to use. thank you

you've taken this motor apart;  the black/red/yellow/blue wires go between the speed control and the lower unit.

head over to http://www.mikesreelrepair.com click on "schematics" then "minn kota" if you don't see your particular model, look at other 50# models till you see one with the same configuration (bow or transom, hand or foot control).

I'm familiar with MinKotas. thjere should usually be only 2 wires for the battery. a red and a black. the motor is operated by a handl control on the motor. Those 2 extra wire are probably for a foot control.
