Hey all, just watching Trooping the Colour on TV.

The horses are always very disciplined, but they never "empty their bowels" during the parade.

How do they train the horses not to defecate?

(I mean poo or wee really, but didn't want the question banned!)

  1. We I was very young, I worked for a while with my father's uncle.   We were all sitting around and he was talking about how parades back when horses were used.

He said a silk cord tied on stallions to prevent embarassing, well, you know.

I've been told that in many photographs of the time, it was common to air brush out all the manure on the streets.

So, it might be clever and quick editing and switching cameras or not feeding the horses before a parade.

  2. It's called divine Right of Kings.   simply horse sense

  3. They do relieve themselves;I've seen piles of manure that street cleaners see to as soon as possible.

  4. They don't feed them before the ceremony although some of them did poo.

  5. HI R O

  6. you cant train them not to poo

  7. They pooped in long straight lines in front of the Queen.

Check it out. I was impressed that even the event of pooping was in sync and in a straight line.

  8. They do p**p! I can see it on TV clearly.
